Lake Parrish is world famous for its Bass and Crappie fishing among other species of freshwater fish. It has been closed to the public since September 11, 2001. Lucky for us/you FPL has decided to open it 3 times a year for events to help benefit the United Way of South Sarasota County, United Way Suncoast, and the United Way of Manatee County.
Due to weather, the Feb. 6th tournament has been rescheduled to March 26, 2016!
Tournament Dates (Only 2 dates in 2016!)
- March 26, 2016 – Registration is Open! (rescheduled from Feb 6 due to weather)
- May 21, 2016 – Registration is Open!
Locals and folks within a 100 mile radius remember the unbelievable times that they used to have fishing Lake Parrish. And it is now through these United Way sponsored tournaments only that you can fish Lake Parrish.
Please remember that it is privilege that we are able to fish this lake. There is a set of rules that have been put in place by FPL which can be found on this site. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with them.
